Compare Siding Materials

Start with the look you love, then compare the whole wall. Vinyl, engineered wood, steel and natural cedar offer different textures, finishes and care needs. Match the product to your home—and compare the same removal, trim, flashing and repair scope before comparing prices.

Put every proposal on the same footing

Compare removal and disposal, wall-repair allowances, housewrap, flashing, trim, soffit and fascia, permits, cleanup and workmanship coverage. Ask what is included, optional or priced only if hidden damage is found.

A good-looking wall starts behind the siding. Water must drain outward at windows, doors and transitions. New siding alone does not fix an existing leak or damaged sheathing.

Read warranties in layers

Product, finish and installation coverage are different promises. Check transfer terms, exclusions and claim requirements. A warranty term is not an expected service-life guarantee.
